Golden Mountain Doodles are one of the most intelligent dog breeds. They inherit their Intelligence from their parent, the Poodle.

Golden Mountain Doodles are very expensive to own. Considering the Grooming requirements, food, vet care, training, toys, accessories, and miscellaneous expenses, the total monthly cost would be around $130 to $350.

It depends widely on how you manage everything. But this is the rough idea I can give you after adding my experience and that of other owners.

Cons 4: Health Issues of Golden Mountain Doodle

Though Golden Mountain Doodles are one of the healthy dog breeds, several major health issues can appear.

Health issues such as hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, eye problems, and ear infections can occur throughout their lifetime.

To avoid these health issues, you must ensure a trustable and responsible breeder and their parent’s health conditions.

Golden Mountain Doodles are typically energetic dogs. They require ample exercise and mental stimulation to thrive. Miniatures require 30 to 45 minutes of daily exercise, Mediums require 45 to 60 minutes of daily exercise, and Standard ones require 60 to 90 minutes of exercise per day. Which is very tough to fulfill for some busy owners. And, if you can’t fulfill that exercise requirement then it’s a sign that you are not ready to adopt.

Without sufficient activity, they may become bored and engage in destructive behaviors.

Some owners said they faced barking and biting problems from their Golden Mountain Doodle because they did not ensure enough activities. And, one more tip for owners, If you own a puppy, don’t visit dog parks. Puppies and dog parks don’t mix.

Cons 6: Challenging for first time Owners

Though Golden Mountain Doodles are straightforward dogs to deal with, for first-time dog owners, it will be challenging to deal with their energy, High Maintenance Costs, and Frequent grooming Requirements.

Also, owners must spend much more time on exercise and mental stimulation than other dog breeds.

Therefore, If you are a first-time owner, it will be much challenging to maintain health and overall well-being.

However, with proper knowledge, patience, and consistency, Golden Mountain Doodles are Good for first-time owner.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a dog with Social and Friendly behavior, an easy-to-train nature, fewer health issues, and a long-term commitment, then the Golden Mountain Doodle will be the perfect choice for you.
